All nine Taylors, from age 7 to 70 had a wonderful time on BREANKER and Kristian and Marianne made the difference. I'm sure there are many 55' cats that sail the same way and have approximately the same accomodations, but it is crew that make the difference. Those two made our trip very special. Their patience with the kids and with our party habits was wonderful and they were gracious and cooperative. We even took them to dinner the night we returned to Roadtown and look forward to seeing them again. They are superb people and I know you feel comfortable in recommending them to your clients.

Did you feel free to choose each days activities if you wanted to?				We felt free to choose our activities and destinations for the day....we would meet the night before and plan each day's direction.

We wanted to be outside, and this was very easy for us. Jonny Coop, all twenty-three years of him, was an astounding young man. He commandeered the boat, had great knowledge of all the area, engaged our sons in all activities with great knowledge, and was such a treat, personally. He is a very special young man!! Kelly was very friendly, pleasant but reserved. She did not ever intefere with our sail. She was very warm and helpful, yet unobtrusive. She was an amazing cook!!
Please describe the meals (i.e. presentation, quality, quantity):				.The chef, Kelly, was spectacular! She implemented all of our requests for the week. Our teenage sons were especially happy!
If you requested any specific drinks etc. in your preference sheet, were they aboard? In general, do you feel the meals reflected the requests you made in your preference sheet?				We could not have been more pleased with our meals! We ate off-board two times...we all agreed our meals on board were so much better! We ate at Little Dix Bay and The Last Resort...We would repeat the Last Resort...otherwise, Kelly had a better meal on board. The presentation was always superb and anything we requested was always implemented.
Was the boat roughly what you expected? Our boat descriptions are intended to be realistic and constructive to help prospective clients compare. Do you feel our descriptions of the yacht & crew were fair & accurate? What would you change / emphasize? Would you charter this yacht again? If not , please explain:				Yes, we would definitely charter this boat again. It met all of our expectations, and more. It was very spacious.

Our time on Double Feature was so fantastic! We enjoyed time as a family without the interruptions of the world, so we were able to enjoy those quiet times of sailing, fishing, reading, and just spending time together. Kelly and Jonny were the most wonderful hosts and allowed us time to explore as well as visit. This will vie for the topmost family vacation we have ever experienced.

The experience with Mark and Sally was simply superb.
They are first and foremost highly competent sailors, with long prior experience with the Moorings, who know every square inch of their cruising area. Combine this with the fact that they are both former business professionals who have applied a “feel at home, service first” approach to the this business, and left no detail, small or large, unaddressed in their attempt to provide their guests with a safe and truly memorable cruising experience. Put another way, they absolutely “know their stuff”, and take great pride and personal pleasure in what they do, and it surly shows.

We went aboard strangers, and came away friends, and our family could not have asked more from this vacation experience.

Sonja - We had a wonderful time with Chad and Wendy on Aurora. Thank you for doing everything you needed to do to make this work out for us. Reviewing my chartering experience, I recalled three crewed and two bareboat charters on sailboats in the Caribbean.

On further review, I managed to remember a 48-hour charter on a 53 foot Hatteras from Palm Beach to Miami including a very special dinner for friends on the boat in Miami. With all this as background, I want to establish that our experience on Aurora with Chad and Wendy marks the ultimate in every category.

I know that you know Aurora and her crew as you know all the boats you represent, and I understand and expect this from every charter agent (even though it is sometimes lacking). Whenever anyone wants a recommendation on what to do for an upscale, high-service vacation, Nancy and I will direct them to you, uniquely.

Sonja, It was truly wonderful to see you looking so healthy, happy, relaxed, and beautiful. It made my heart sing! Akasha was, as expected, fantastic. Such nice people. It is delightful to be in their care. Ronnie is a great cook and a lovely person, Brett is a terrific captain, always concerned about our comfort and safety (and he has a great sense of humor), Shannon is sweet, helpful and just a delight to be around, and of course, sweet Mark is always ready to do whatever has to be done to make one's stay terrific.

They are a very special crew, and we were lucky to be able to sail with them. And you can quote me on that! Of course, the boat itself is extremely roomy and comfortable for a sailboat. There is enough space and different places to be that we always felt as if we were discovering a spot for the first time. There was none of that cabin fever feeling on Akasha. Truly a delightful sailing vessel, we were happiest when under sail on this magnificent boat. It was a wonderful vacation.

I am waiting for information from you regarding the next possible Akasha sail.... Thanks for all your help. I am so looking forward to possibly being back on the boat in February. And it would be perfect if I could get a few hours with you as well! Let's take one step at a time.

Hi Sonja!

Well, we're back in San Diego and feeling a little out of sorts. I still feel like I'm on the water and can't get the boat to stop rocking! Anyway, yesterday was a very long travel day, we ended up having to fly to Chicago then back to San Diego. I guess with all the cancellations over the past week, we had to be rerouted, but everything was on time and we made it back safely.

Thank you so much for coordinating such an amazing trip! We all had a wonderful time and Penny and Colin were perfect hosts. The AdAstra was also a lovely cat, very clean, well equipped and spacious, we would definitely recommend the Adastra and crew to any of your new or repeat clients. Penny is a fantastic cook, Colin is a great bartender and they are great company. Both have easy-going personalities and are quite engaging. They were also great sports! We played spoons one night (remember playing that with us?) and instead of drinking a ton, we had the loser do all sorts of funny things! Colin, the poor chap, took the brunt of the punishment, but he took it all in stride and was hilarious!!

We also saw so much! We seemed to get quite a bit of sailing and sightseeing in, considering the Kathys and Gil slept in each day, we managed not to feel rushed but still saw lots of beautiful places.

Our last night we went to the Last Resort and had a wonderful time. We couldn't have asked for a better way to end our trip and it was a great birthday party, just wish you could have been there, but I didn't expect you to be there because I knew it was just too soon.

Our cruise aboard Millennium exceeded all expectations. Mike is a superb sailor with a wonderful wit, and Adelle is a chef beyond description. All my family were extremelly pleased with all the sports, ports of call and the night life ashore for the older (but not oldest) ones. The weather was cooperative and we were able to make all connections to and from STT in a somewhat timely manner.

I strongly commend this crew and I would recommend them without restriction. We all would love to sail with them again, and we have been tooting up the two of them to our St. Croix friends so some business may come your way.

You certainly may use us as a reference.
We are off in three days for a cruise around South America for three weeks, so it is unpack/pack over the New Year.

There was plentiful food. It really takes talent to make each meal different and delicious, given the space limitations on a boat of that size.

How did you like the pace and the itinerary of your vacation?				The pace was also great (although if it went by slower, we might still be there and not back at work!). We found them to be very interested in doing whatever They could do to add to the enjoyment of our vacation. They were always suggesting things to do without pushing anything too hard. They were both extremely competent at their jobs, entertaining to talk to and always willing to do something a little extra to make the week special.

Tell me about your meals? Did the menus meet your expectations?				Kate was an excellent cook. Every meal had a special twist to it and was delicious. She paid special Attention to our requests made before the cruise. And Tony always impressed us with his table decorations!
How is the yacht? Is she clean and well-maintained? Were your cabins comfortable?				Very clean and well maintained. It is relatively new and very comfortable. Tony is very handy And keeps his boat in fine shape.

How did you find the pace and the itinerary of your vacation?				Just as we asked for it.
Was it flexible enough for you to be able to choose each day's activities?				They were very flexible and discussed the options with us regularly which we really appreciated.
What did you like most about your charter?				The boat was perfect and Tony and Kate definitely added to the week. There were always willing to go above and beyond the call of duty. We grew to like them so much that it became like having another set of our friends on the cruise with us.

Sonja - the trip was excellent as always - not glad to be back at work but that is what allows us to take these great trips.

The daysail was really great and it made me miss the charter option ! Both Bill and Nikki were excellent crew. Very outgoing,friendly, welcoming - they had some fresh pastries for us when we arrived and they made an excellent lunch of fresh tuna steaks on the grill with a great mango salad -- very enjoyable ! Great presentation with crème Brule to finish off !! Plenty of the requested drinks (even made us bushwackers!) -- They did a really great job - we went snorkeling over at Norman which was great - Bill was a good guide as one in our party was new to this activity - Nikki was great in getting her set up and comfortable with the equipment --

They took those great shots with the spinnaker up - very cool sail with that up on the way back - they knew the boat very well for the short time they were on it !

How did you enjoy your cruising vacation?				the cruise was wonderful, very relaxing, fun and a vacation away from the world so to speak.

The crew attended to our every need. they were very knowledgeable about the area and took us to some unbelievable places that we would never know about if we were on our own. they catered to us and when Brad became sick they did try very hard to help him out. they were so much fun... i think we have made some new friends.
Did they crew live up to your expectations?				yes and more than i expected, they were very up front about what they expected from us and they took care of all our needs so that we could relax and enjoy the time.
Tell me about your meals? Did the menus meet your expectations?				The meals were great. Ruth is a unbelievable cook, when i first arrived my stomach was a mess due to the flight and all the traveling, so i unfortunately wasted my dinner because I couldn't eat, i felt bad and all thru out the trip different people for different reasons did not eat and we felt bad for wasting the food. Ruth did not seem to mind but i hated to waste the food. she had a wide variety of food and drinks for all of us. I especially loved breakfast I was starving when I woke up and it was so nice to have a good breakfast.
How is the yacht? Is she clean and well-maintained? Were your cabins comfortable?				The yacht was great, very clean and comfortable on all levels. Easy to relax on and had plenty of space for all of us.
Were all the advertised "toys" available?				Yes, we most snorkeled however.
How did you find the pace and the itinerary of your vacation?				Great, our itinerary was wonderful.... I love Anguilla....
Was it flexible enough for you to be able to choose each day's activities?				Yes, we could do anything we wanted..
What did you like most about your charter?				I loved going to Anguilla, that was the most beautiful beach. I loved sailing to the different places and seeing all the different beaches. I actually loved it all... St. Barth's was so neat the motor tour was awesome...
What might be done to improve this particular charter yacht?				Fix the airport at St. Martin... Leaving was a mess... I would not improve anything for me everything was great we did just what we wanted to do and had the opportunity to do a lot of things.

We wanted to answer your questions about our week on the Marolanga in June. In summary, it was a terrific week for our family and a perfect introduction to sailing for our boys.

Gus and Marcella were very competent and friendly. My husband and I had chartered in the British Virgin Islands many times before and were please with their sailing expertise and their knowledge of the best little harbors in the islands. As many times as we have been to the BVI's, Gus and Marcella were still able to show us some new and delightful spots.

At first the children found Gus and Marcela a little intimidating and gruff. However, once they figured out what was expected of them (don't run through the kitchen when Marcella has hot burners on and don't dance around on deck when we are underway), they were uninhibited and enthralled with everything. Soon one boy was fishing with Gus and another was shelling with Marcella. We felt comfortable and safe at all times.

You asked about the meals. We did have a wonderful wienerschnitzel the last night that was a hit with both kids and parents.

The boat itself was very comfortable and well-maintained. Gus and Marcela were organized without being too fussy. The boat was always clean and orderly but we felt comfortable leaving our things around when we wanted to. In short, we were allowed to make ourselves at home but we always felt taken care of. The cabins were lovely and had some of the best cross ventilation of any that we have slept in. One cabin had a DVD player which enabled us to plug the boys into a movie and have some adult conversation up on deck. We found Gus and Marcella easy to talk to and a pleasure to be with.

The pace of our vacation was absolutely perfect for a family with kids. There was always plenty to see and do at any given moment. We were never bored for a second. Yet we were able to get up slowly and never feel rushed after breakfast. We were so happy on the boat that we rarely left for very long - snorkeling was our favorite activity. Other options were always made available to us (kayaking, tubing) so we always felt we had choices.

Should we charter another family sailing trip, our boys have made it clear that it absolutely MUST be with Gus and Marcella. Of course we would charter them again and we would happily serve as a reference.
